Along with John Updike, Cornel West, Nancy Pelosi, Greil Marcus, Tom Wolfe and others, she offers her take on “The Future of the American Idea”. In her provocative essay called “Imagination’s End” she warns “we endanger the survival of the American idea by [a] failure of imagination.”
